To provide equestrian competition for all college and university students regardless of riding level, gender, race, sexual orientation or financial status. The IHSA is dedicated to promoting sportsmanship, horsemanship and academic excellence.
The Aggie IHSA Equestrian team values positivity, inclusivity, and school spirit. We are committed to bringing a good attitude to every practice, competition, and meeting!
IHSA stands for Intercollegiate Horse Show Association. By joining an IHSA team, one can compete in competitions within their region and practice with team members within their showing division. The IHSA eliminates the expenses of horse ownership and required riding level, all members will be placed in their division based on prior riding experience. Divisions range from Intro to the Open Division. Horses are furnished by host schools and are chosen by a live drawing during competitions. The use of personal tack is not allowed and schooling prior to showing is not permitted. The purpose of this format is to fairly test the horsemanship of the athletes.
